The Design Clinic provides design advice and services to entrepreneurial ventures at the University of Michigan and entrepreneurs in the local community.
My team and I worked with a company called Cricking to a). design a more intutive iteration of their current design and b). evalute the value of their "prediciton game" feature. As an Apprentice I, I learned from the clinicians key design principles and best practices, including how to conduct user research, user testing, prototyping, and wireframing.

PatientPing is teach startup working to create a single network of healthcare providers. Through their software, various healthcare providers can receive real-time and discharge notifications, allowing for better, coorindated care.
As an operations and community engagment intern, I did a number of assignments. Throughout the summer I designed and implemented their Salesforce infrastructure to support efficient engagment of the growing provider community, understand market opportunities, and optimize internal sales and operations processes. I also established a reporting system that utilized Google Maps API, and designed a number of e-mails, brochers, and inviations in community outreach efforts.

MarketCaptue is a marketing consulting company serving software and other high-tech companies.
During my summer internship I created three animated videos for three different clients using GoAnimate editing tools. I was responsible for presenting the software in a way that was engaging and digestable to their less technology-minded cusotmers. The process included writing and editing scripts, fnding voiceover actors, and designing, creating, and editing the videos. The respective videos have recieved thousands of views!

I attend the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor MI. I am enrolled in the School of Information BSI program, and take classes in the School of Engineering for my computer science minor. If all goes as planned, I will be graduating in May of 2017. Go blue, ya feel?
My current courses are Data Structures and Algorithms, Models of Social Information Processing, Agile Web Development, and Information Environments and Work
I have taken three programming course that test my ability to use algorithm analysis, fundamental data structures including lists, stacks, queues, priority queues, hash tables, binary trees, search trees, balanced trees and graphs, searching and sorting algorithms, recursive algorithms, basic graph algorithms, greedy algorithms and divide and conquer strategies.
NOTE: I cannot post my code here, as it would be a violation of the honor code!
Throughout a semester I was an active member on the Jelly app At the end of the semester, I wrote and a designed a report that critquically analyzied the various features of the app based on my own experiences and various social media and information principles.
I created two graphics that work to descirbe two key topics in information studies: information literacy and online activism. I designed and created the graphics using Piktochart and photoshop.
Sometimes when those creative juices are a'flowing I write fiction or make videos.
